Tom Foley, Director of Worldwide Health Solutions Strategy for Lenovo Health, has over 25 years of experience in information technology across several industries. He began as a lead system programmer in the national automation transforming the UPS Inc. telephone center from a paper to electronic format. Foley became involved in other innovative initiatives there, including prototyping the first package confirmation device. He also served as the data network design manager during the initial deployment of one of the first national wireless data networks, so Foley has a foundational understanding of mobility and wireless data.
For the last 15 years, Foley has applied his expertise in health IT, having several leadership roles with leading electronic health record (EHR) vendors. He has participated in such comprehensive strategic initiatives, such as migrating EHR platforms from client server to cloud-based models and rolling out health information, patient portals/patient engagement, and direct messaging to 43,000 subscribers. Additionally, Foley is well versed on meaningful use and related regulatory matters.
In his current position with Lenovo Health, Foley focuses on a global strategy to establish Lenovo Health as the preeminent wrist-to-cloud health IT partner. The worldwide Lenovo Health team is driving health IT innovation as the industry evolves to a value-based care model. With the launch of its unique health safety identifier solution, Lenovo Health AIMe, as well as the introduction of leading-edge virtual care solutions, Lenovo Health is creating innovative solutions to transform health across the care continuum.
