Nupur Mehta, MD, MPH, FACP is Chief Medical Officer of CareMore East. Dr. Mehta oversees clinical excellence in all of CareMore’s Eastern markets, and through his proven abilities as an innovative healthcare strategist and implementation leader, fosters the growth of our care models, scales the capabilities that will ensure continuation of the organization’s unique clinical culture, and helps develop new approaches to address and better serve our diverse patient populations. His clinical and research interests are in value based care delivery, reimbursement reform, and improving healthcare cost and quality.
Prior to CareMore, Dr. Mehta was a faculty member at the George Washington University Hospital, where he was both an Attending Physician and an Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. Prior to that he served as Vice President and Medical Director for Evolent Health, as well as a Senior Associate at McKinsey and Company, where he was tasked with designing, developing and implementing strategies for R&D, profitability and healthcare reform.
A graduate of Duke University, Harvard Medical School, and the Harvard University School of Public Health, Dr. Mehta has been honored as Attending of the Year at George Washington University, is a recipient of Evolent Health’s Walk-The-Walk Award, and the winner of both the Howard Hiatt Global Health Equity Fellowship and the Paul Dudley White Health Fellowship. His research has been published in peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, and poster presentations.
