Dr. Maurizio Trevisan is founding dean of the CUNY School of Medicine. From 2011-2016 he also served as provost of City College. Prior to returning to New York, Dr. Trevisan served as the executive vice chancellor of the Nevada Health Sciences System. Dr. Trevisan also had a successful career at the University at Buffalo where he was SUNY Distinguished Professor and founding dean of the School of Public Health and Health Professions. He continues to conduct research on the prevention of chronic diseases. A native of Naples, Italy, he earned his MD from the University of Naples and his MS in epidemiology from the University at Buffalo.
