Dr. Mark Olszyk earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He has over 20 years of experience in the health care industry.

Dr Olszyk previously served as the Senior Medical Officer at the Veterans Health Administration’s Office of Quality, Safety and Value. Prior to that, he served as the deputy chief of staff for the VA Maryland Health Care System, and he had also served as chief of emergency medicine in North Chicago Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Before joining the Department of Veterans Affairs, Dr. Olszyk served in the U.S. Navy and had deployed overseas with the 4th Marine Regiment.

Dr. Olszyk is currently in his second term on the Maryland Board of Physicians, having been re-appointed by Governor Larry Hogan in 2017. Dr. Olszyk is active with the Boy Scouts of American, serving as Cubmaster, Merit Badge Counselor, Committee Member and a Chief Medical Officer for the 2019 World Scout Jamboree.
