Laura Wallace is the Vice President for Microsoft’s Health & Life Sciences (HLS). She is responsible for the strategy, solution development and strategic relationships that drives business spanning across U.S. commercial and public sector initiatives. Together, with her team and colleagues, she enables Microsoft’s continued commitment to empower the healthcare industry using technology and data to help solve the most challenging global health issues. Since joining Microsoft in 2003, Wallace has focused on sales, marketing and service delivery in leadership roles. She served as the General Manager, Business Strategy where she led the Dynamics realignment and integration efforts for the US Enterprise and Partner Group (EPG). Wallace was the General Manager of the New York Metro Enterprise and Partner Group (EPG). In this role, Wallace was responsible for overseeing the sales, marketing and service delivery functions to the company’s largest enterprise customers in the five boroughs of New York City, New York’s Westchester County, southern Connecticut and northern New Jersey. During her tenure, she grew that business to $1.3B, making it EPG’s first billion dollar business and earned a Top Subsidiary award for District of the Year. She also served as General Manager of the company’s Northern California Enterprise Sales organization where she was responsible for sales, marketing and service for Microsoft’s 200+ enterprise customers and partners in the Northern California geography. Prior to joining Microsoft, Wallace has held senior sales management positions at IBM, Lotus Development, Cambex Corporation and other start-up ventures.
Wallace holds a B.A. degree in mathematics and computer science from Vassar College. She is a former Board Member of the Professional Business Women of California (PBWC), and was a multi-year recipient of the 100 Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business Award.
