Kim Swafford is the GVP of Telehealth and Health Technology Strategy at Providence St. Joseph Health (PSJH). The PSJH telehealth program is one of the largest in the country, spanning close to 90 facilities and over 50 regional programs. An integral focus has been on how both patients and providers access clinical programs and services – by developing Patient & Provider Engagement centers that are powered by a Consumer Engagement Platform (CEP) which creates a high-value healthcare experience for consumers.

Prior to her telehealth role, Swafford was the COO for Clinical Program Services at PSJH. In this role, she developed a framework for scaling best practices and developing system-wide Clinical Institutes.  She has also held service line roles at Swedish Health System in Seattle, WA and has telehealth experience from Phillips (VISICU).

Swafford received Modern Healthcare’s “Up and Comer Award.”  She also was chosen as one of the Puget Sound Business Journal’s “40 Under 40”. Swafford earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology – from Colorado State University and a graduate degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA) and Certificate in Bio-Informatics from University of Washington.
