Starting with volunteer work filing paper charts in the mid-1990s, Daniel Thomas has seen digital transformation in healthcare first hand. Thomas officially joined the Geisinger Information Technology team during his internship for a Computer Science BS in 2002, which began his career in healthcare IT.
During his desktop and software analyst career, Thomas supported areas including Neurosciences, Oncology, and Primary Care, developing relationships with clinicians and frontline workers. Being heavily involved in large scale projects which drove change and implemented new technology helped form a sense for how changes impact the patient care environment.
Thomas’s passion for the alignment and presentation of IT products to the end users ultimately led him to the pursuit of end user solution design and enterprise architecture. Thomas is currently leading enterprise initiatives in desktop OS virtualization, Windows 10 migration, workspace analytics, and unifying endpoint management and application delivery.
