Chris Bormann leads HDR’s health program in the eastern United States and is among the firm’s senior thought leaders in healthcare architecture. As the Director of Health, Bormann is responsible for coordinating HDR’s vast network of specialized healthcare services and bringing expertise to healthcare organizations throughout the region. With a career dedicated to contributing well–conceived healthcare design solutions to the community, Bormann has a passion for the thoughtful creation of humane, high–performance settings to experience and deliver healthcare. He is well-respected for his excellent communication and leadership skills and is an engaging, hands-on leader who develops relationships with clients for life. His formal training in architecture and healthcare facility design comes from Princeton University, service in the Army as a health facility-planning officer, which included an extensive hospital administrative residency and master’s degree in Healthcare Architecture from Clemson University.
