Andrew Leitner, MD is a pain specialist, anesthesiologist, and chief of the division of interventional pain management at City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center. An assistant clinical professor in the Department of Supportive Care Medicine, he is involved in the multi-disciplinary care of patients battling cancer and cancer survivors.

Dr. Leitner received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He completed his residency in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he also pursued a fellowship in interventional pain management.

 Dr. Leitner is passionate about bringing teams together to help patients with complex pain management and other symptom needs. A member of numerous professional and advocacy associations, he also lectures on pain management, opioid stewardship, and health policy.
