Alison Sutcliffe Peterson, MD, MPH, is Vice President of Medical Affairs, Allina Health’s United Hospital, the largest hospital in St Paul, MN and is a member of the Allina Health Clinical Leadership Team. She obtained her medical degree from Sheffield University Medical School and completed her Rotating Internship at the University of Leeds, England followed by residency in Family Medicine at the University of Minnesota. She went on to complete a Fellowship in Academic Medicine and Clinical Investigation in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Minnesota where she also obtained her master’s degree in Public Health (MPH). Dr. Peterson has 25 years of experience in her personal primary care practice and was a leader within Allina primary and multispecialty clinics for 17 years prior to her assuming her current leadership role in 2012. She has completed advanced training in Health Care Delivery Improvement through Intermountain Healthcare and has had a long term interest in community and population health. She is a founding Board member of the Allina Integrated Medical Network (AIMN) and chairs the Network and Operations committee for the AIMN.
