Alexandra Morehouse is a top executive with Banner Health, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit health systems. She serves as Chief Marketing Officer, but her role extends deeply into patient/customer experience leadership. Before she joined Banner Health in 2015, she was Chief Brand Evangelist for Kaiser Permanente. During the critical implementation of the Affordable Care Act, she rolled out Kaiser’s customer experience platform-connecting consumers, insurance exchanges, and state and local agencies. She also led the introduction of a fully digital, social and mobile customer experience nationwide.
Prior to her work in health care, Morehouse was CMO for AAA, overseeing customer experience across retail, web and call center operations for AAA’s 53 million members. Earlier, she was Chief Marketing Information Officer for Charles Schwab and Co., where she implemented their integrated customer platform. She also held senior leadership roles in customer experience at American Express.
She has been an invited speaker at national customer experience conferences and featured in Forbes, Businessweek, The Economist and Ad Age. She is a Wall Street Journal “Marketers that Matter” and a three-time San Francisco Business Times “Most Influential” honoree.
Morehouse has chaired the Harvard Business School Global Technology Conference and has held board positions with UC Davis ITS and SnapFish, among others. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a master’s in business administration from Harvard Business School.
