Strategic partnerships can play a vital role in helping hospitals and health systems transform themselves, take better care of patients and better meet evolving market needs. As more institutions move toward value-based care and population health management, health systems are seeing partnerships as a way to drive change: Institutions are teaming up with competitors, insurers, government agencies and innovative companies outside the provider realm to change how care is delivered at the hospital, as well as at home and at the community level. Yet while the right partnerships can deliver successful change, others end in failure. This session will explore how successful partnerships are developed and managed and how such initiatives can advance quality and efficiency of care.
