Yumin Choi is a Partner of HLM Venture Partners. He is currently a director of AbilTo, mPulse Mobile, Payspan, Spinal Kinetics and Vets First Choice and is a board observer at Nordic Consulting. He previously was a board observer of Imagine Health, Persivia and TYRX (acquired by Medtronic). Choi was chair of the New England Venture Network (NEVN), the largest young Venture Capital organization in New England. He is a director to The Capital Network, a non-profit focused on educating entrepreneurs around topics of fundraising and finance. Choi is on the board of overseers of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and is on Boston University’s Coulter Foundation Oversight Committee.
Prior to HLM, Choi was with Angel Healthcare Investors, a healthcare focused early stage investment group, ZweigWhite’s Financial Advisory Services and Mergers & Acquisitions Group and was co-founder and CEO of CY Digital. He is also a mentor in healthcare focused startup accelerators, Blueprint Health, Healthbox, and StartUp Health, and is an active angel investor. Choi also holds an appointment as Lecturer in the Gordon Institute at Tufts University where he teaches a course in Entrepreneurial Finance.
Choi received a BS from Babson College.
