Gina Altieri serves as Enterprise Senior Vice President and Chief of Strategy Integration, responsible for Children’s Health System, responsible for Nemours strategic planning process, information services and analytics, consumer digital health, and marketing and communication. She previously served as the enterprise vice president of Corporate Services at Nemours, responsible for leadership of the combined operations of Information Systems and Security, Clinical Informatics, Strategic Project Management, Marketing & Communications and the operation of the Nemours Mansion and Gardens estate museum.
Nemours, an early adopter of the electronic health record, won the Davies Award; and today, Nemours Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, Nemours Children’s Hospital in Florida and Nemours ambulatory locations in five states have all achieved the prestigious HIMMS Stage 7 top ranking. Nemours commitment to quality and safety is recognized by the Leapfrog Group safety designation as a Top Children’s Hospital and holds Magnet Certification of its nursing program at the duPont Hospital. In addition to her Corporate Services responsibilities, Altieri also serves as an executive champion for Strategic Planning Support, Associate Satisfaction and Engagement, and Brand Management.
Altieri joined Nemours in 1996 as Practice Administrator of Nemours duPont Pediatrics (formerly Nemours Children’s Clinic) in Wilmington, Delaware. Prior to joining Nemours full time, she worked at the Nemours Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, also in Wilmington, on a consulting basis while an employee of Thomas Jefferson University. As a consultant, she helped Nemours develop a central billing operation for professional services performed by the employed medical staff.
Altieri is a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and the American Medical Group Association (AMGA). She has also been recognized as a Woman of Distinction by the Philadelphia Business Journal, a Woman in Business by Delaware Today and by the Balanced Score Card Hall of Fame for her leadership of the Nemours Strategy Management System utilizing the Balanced Score Card. She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Drexel University and achieved the CPA designation in 1988.
