Dr. Leora Horwitz is director of the Center for Healthcare Innovation and Delivery Science at NYU Langone Medical Center, director of the Division of Healthcare Delivery Science in the Department of Population Health at NYU School of Medicine, associate professor of population health and of medicine at NYU, and a practicing hospitalist. Her work focuses on improving the safety and quality of healthcare delivery. Dr. Horwitz conducts federally-funded research on transitions in care, develops quality measures for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, leads the AHRQ-funded NYU Patient Imaging Quality and Safety (PIQS) Laboratory, and directs the CMMI-funded Greater New York City Practice Transformation Network.
