David L. Wessel, M.D., Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, Hospital and Specialty Services at Children’s National Health System, also, the accountable executive for seven Vice Presidents or Senior Vice Presidents and their 38 clinical divisions within the CNHS. He co-leads the institution’s Quality and Safety Program and is Chief Medical Officer for the Hospital and Specialty Services.
He is an experiences scientist and clinical researcher, and has designed seminal studies in cardiac critical care and pulmonary hypertension; developed new therapies for perioperative care of the newborn with congenital heart disease along with novel treatments for pulmonary hypertension.
