Christopher Stanley, M.D., M.B.A., is Vice President for Population Health at Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), a faith-based, non-profit health system with facilities in 17 states. In this role, he is responsible for developing and overseeing population health activities in the communities where CHI has hospitals and affiliated physicians. Dr. Stanley also serves as the Chief Medical Officer for CHI’s employee benefit plan and works with CHI’s health plan operations across several states. Dr. Stanley works with CHI leaders to focus on the value of health care from a provider view. He is at the forefront of care delivery transformation as payers reward providers based on value rather than volume. He oversees a national team focusing on case management, disease management, population health and readmission reduction. Additionally, Dr. Stanley is responsible for a newly developed Internal Physician Advisor Service (IPAS), supporting Utilization Effectiveness activities across CHI’s acute care facilities.
