Charleen Tachibana, DNP, RN, FAAN, serves as the senior vice president for quality/safety and Chief Nursing Officer of the Virginia Mason Health System in Seattle, WA. She has served on the executive team at Virginia Mason for the past 15 years.

Tachibana earned a bachelor of science in nursing degree from Pacific Lutheran University, a masters of nursing from the University of Washington and her doctor of nursing practice from Vanderbilt University. She is a Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellow and was inducted as a Fellow into the American Academy of Nursing in 2013.
